In an attempt to escape the onset of cabin fever, Jacob and I packed up the Troop and traveled the 30ish miles to Girdwood for our V-day weekend. We traded flowers, chocolate, and a candlelight dinner for a cabin, woodstove, hiking and a decent omelet!

As we made our way back to the city, we came upon two climbers who were finishing their day. After chatting with climber A (the fellow on the ground), Jacob noticed that climber B was having a difficult time setting the rope for his descent. To those of you who don't speak climber, such as myself, that means he couldn't get off the mountain!!
20 minutes later... we were able to see him safely off the ice!
