An update from the Burkes

I am employed!  After a month of searching, I took a position with Pregnancy Support and Adoption Services in Anchorage. Friday was my first day and if it had to be ranked among past "first days" it would be number two (following Java the Hut).

Jacob is reading Ayn Rand's "The Fountainhead",thus has developed an obsession for architecture and capitalism. His time is devoted to designing our perfect modern home.

Two weeks ago a truck smashed into the side of our beloved Trooper.  We're currently zipping around town in a silver Chevy Cobalt with HUGE blind spots that Jacob complains about daily. We're counting the days until we're reunited with our Isuzu.

Work continues to go well for Jacob. He is working toward building the Anchorage bookstore into a multi-billion dollar money maker within the year.

Fall is here! Leaves are turning, coffee shops are full, scarves and hats are being pulled out of closets, the smell of burning is in the air, happy lights are being dusted, and I've joined a knitting/crocheting bible study. Jacob is anticipating many new winter hats.
